Have You Been Baptized?

A person becomes a Christian through the Sacrament of Baptism. If you have never been baptized, we invite you to become a Christian in the Catholic tradition through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). This ritual, for adults and children 7 years and older, is generally a year-long process culminating with the reception of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

It begins with a period of inquiry after which one becomes a catechumen. The catechumenate is a time to explore God's invitation to share his life and to learn about the Catholic faith.

Following the catechumenate, there is a period of purification and enlightenment which begins the First Sunday of Lent in preparation for the Easter Vigil.

During the 50 days of Easter, those who are newly baptized continue to gather and celebrate the sacred mysteries they have received.
